"Steele & Shelbee thank you for a fantastic trip, of all the trips I have been on it was second to none. We are getting your name out pretty good. I think what spawns interest that is the fact you are not locked into one type of fishing, which we did not even think about. Plus you deliver what you say with out the fan fare. Can not express enough the fun we had."

"The 3 Farnam Brothers arrived with great plans for slaying halibut and salmon. We were not disappointed! GREAT FISHING! Steele you run a 1st class operation here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We may have to charter and extra plane to haul all our fish out. "Remarkable" look forward to fishing with you again."

"One of the best fishing trips I've been on. A very great place to come to."

Sportfishing in Uyak Bay is some of the finest in the world.

Whether you want to land that "barn door halibut" or seek the thrill of the fighting Coho or the mighty King, you're sure to leave with a smile on your face.

If you've fished Alaska, you know the rivers often have shoulder to shoulder crowds. Fly-out lodges drop people off in the same location fished by several other lodges. This isn't our idea of Alaska fishing fun. Many magazines and writers highlight the fishing of Bristol Bay, Cordova, Kenai Peninsula and other crowded hotspots because this is where the big-name lodges and advertising dollars are spent. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the best fishing. A visit to our area will prove this point. Fishing here is having the entire bay filled with salmon, halibut and rockfish to enjoy in solitude, as it was meant to be enjoyed, away from the crowds. You won't need to share a boat with other anglers and when weather and tides permit, fishing is always good somewhere in the bay - usually right in our "front yard". Getting skunked here doesn't happen very often. Premier fisheries like ours are the best - kept secret of those who use them.

Saltwater fish aboard the Shelbee-D, our landing craft with a spacious deck. Several species of fish are found in the immediate area. These include king, silver, pink & chum salmon, halibut and many species of rock fish, such as sea bass & yellow eye. Catching 9-12 different species of fish in a single outing is common.

Fishing is guided and we provide all the quality gear and bait needed for deep water fishing: down riggers, rods & reels for trolling, and ultra light tackle for rock fish and creek fishing. Of course, you are welcome to bring your favorite gear. We recommend groups of 4 to get the most out of your fishing experience.

We offer fishing in a variety of ways:

· Saltwater trolling for salmon & halibut
· Casting from beaches for dolly vardon & salmon
· Jigging for salmon, halibut & rockfish.

We offer limited fresh water creek/river fishing. We aren't into combat fishing. We target saltwater fish, because they are the very best of quality, not soft or dark, but bright chrome. We do visit a few creeks in our area for fly and spin fishing.

Processing and freezing your fish: We all dive in and get our hands dirty while processing fish, it's much faster and more fun. We have plenty of freezer space for your catch. You furnish freezer bags or bags for a vacuum sealer.

· Plan to book early for prime salmon , halibut & creek fishing as these times fill quickly.
